Patient Registration activities include:

  • Identify if the Patient is already in the System
  • Entry of Patient-Specific/Location (Organization) Specific Registration Data
  • Updating a Patient's Record with Newly Acquired Data
  • Patient Record Search and Confirmed Identification Procedures
  • Adding and Maintaining Each Patient's Address History
  • Identifying and Merging Duplicate Patient Records
An important aspect of the Patient registration function is the "Merge Process" which assesses Patient information against existing Patient records, to determine whether the incoming information represents a new Patient or an existing Patient.
